Though sometimes it still feels like the other day – we met almost 15 years ago, the stars aligning just enough to let us be in the same place at the same time, if only just for a couple months. Evidently that’s all it takes.
That season working in the mountains of Colorado was enough to show us that no matter where we went, we were never going to be able to get rid of each other.
Queue a decade of adventures – some together, many apart – during which neither of us were far from the other’s mind. Some winters in Chicago, some road trips to Alabama, some ski visits, some weekends in the whitewater van, a couple trips to Key West and more would keep us connected as time passed on and we each continued chasing new opportunities – always hoping that one day our goals would let us be in the same place just one more time.
So when the post-2020 world began to come back to life and we emerged from our holding patterns we realized the opportunity we had, to finally make goals and build a life together, instead of thinking we’d be so lucky as to get another chance.
Though our love doesn’t need any ceremony to be as tried and true as anything – we *do* love a good excuse to gather up our friends and have a big party. So come and celebrate what will be almost a decade and a half of love and adventure, with friends and family from each step of the way. We can’t wait to see you, it should be a damn good time.
